Christy is the Operations Manager at Trails Momentum. She knew from an early age that she wanted to work in the outdoors. After completing a degree in Outdoor Leadership, she started her career as a Forest Ranger for 6 years in the Adirondacks of Upstate NY. This experience gave her a strong foundation in safety & risk management, search & rescue, and variety of outdoor skills. During the late fall and winter months Christy spent 3 years as an adjunct faculty member teaching an outdoor leadership curriculum with 2 local colleges. In 2004, Christy transitioned to wilderness therapy when she accepted a Logistics Manager position with a new therapeutic wilderness program in the Adirondacks. In her role as Logistics Manager she managed daily operations and ensured safety and risk management. When an opportunity came to transfer to a wilderness therapy program in NC, she was ready for the adventure. Since 2004, Christy has continued to serve in Logistical roles, and also completed a BA degree in Business. At Trails Momentum, she combines her experience in outdoor leadership and business knowledge to the role of Operations Manager. She is well versed in providing structure, oversight and accountability to provide a high quality program. Outside work Christy enjoys spending time with her family, all outdoor things, metalsmithing, and travel.
