Crystal is thrilled to call the Blue Ridge Mountains home now after years living in the Windy City of Chicago. She has a background in community mental health and working with high-risk youth, and their families in a variety of settings.
Crystal is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Professional as well as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist-Associate, with a master’s degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Prior to moving to Asheville, Crystal worked in a men’s criminal justice setting, while maintaining a private practice. She spent four years advocating for Young People in Recovery and has spent the last few years working with families in wilderness treatment settings. Crystal strives to empower individuals and their families and deeply believes in the importance of repair, healing and growing within our relationships to fully develop a secure self.
Crystal works with families using an attachment and family systems approach to explore past experiences and missed opportunities to connect. She helps facilitate the creation of secure, lasting bonds between family members and reinforce preexisting bonds, with the goal of helping those in treatment increase security, closeness and connection in relationships.
Outside of work Crystal can be found hiking, meditating, photographing, and always planting something. On the weekends she can usually be found sitting outside reading under the trees.
