Family Coach
Georgia DeFrancia has been working in the general therapy world for over a decade. After she finished grad school, she volunteered with a program that specialized in equine-assisted psychotherapy while spurring a love of horses and their involvement in the therapeutic world. She has since received further training from the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association and established multiple programs that combine working with horses into patients’ specific therapeutic regimens. After joining Trails Momentum, she has taken on the role of Family Coach to help train the primary therapists on their interactions with the young adults and their greater relationship with their families. Georgia finds great value in coaching parents in parallel to their children that are attending the program helps both the individuals and family units break their own cycles of non-constructive behaviors and heal as a whole. Her passion lies in helping these young people in the pivotal stage of their lives become fully equipped to handle the stressors of modern life and continue to make positive changes in the world for years to come.
