Josh Rood
Outdoor Adventure Educator
Josh has been working professionally in Outdoor Education since 2001 with students of all ages and is now the Outdoor Adventure Educator at Trails Momentum. He received his BA in Psychology from University of California Santa Cruz and his M.Ed. from University of Georgia in Recreation and Leisure studies. Most recently he has been a professor of Environmental Science at Brevard College engaging student minds about ecosystems, environmental impacts, and sustainable practices. Having been the director of an outdoor education center as well as a summer camp director, Josh can attest to the healing power of nature and the connections made between the natural world and human potential for resilience, self-reflection, and discovery. As an outdoor enthusiast Josh is excited to share his passion and experience of water and the woods with Trails Momentum. In his spare time, he enjoys backpacking and storytelling with his wife and son in these Western North Carolina mountains that Josh calls home.
