Mara Mueller – LCSW CADC | Clinical Director
Mara has worked as a mental health clinician with adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings over the past 19 years. Her experience ranges from therapeutic boarding schools, in and out-patient psychiatry, hospital emergency departments, and her favorite, wilderness therapy.
After completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, Mara moved west to Oregon where she was introduced to the healing power of wilderness therapy. Mara obtained her master’s degree in social work from Portland State University.
She is grateful and excited to have the opportunity to join the Trials Momentum team as their Clinical Director. In her clinical work, she believes in each persons’ innate ability to move toward health and create the change they would like to have in their lives. She uses a strength-based, mindfulness and relational approach to therapeutic work with students, families and in directing her clinical team. In her time away from work you can find her mountain biking or practicing yoga, as she is a certified yoga instructor. Mara also enjoys surfing and spending time with her friends, family and her pup, Mija, who she and her partner adopted from Peru during their travels there.
