After completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, Mara moved west to Oregon where she was introduced to the healing power of wilderness therapy. Mara obtained her master’s degree in social work from Portland State University. She holds advanced EMDR training and is a Certified Yoga Instructor. In her time away from work you can find her mountain biking or practicing yoga. Mara also enjoys surfing and spending time with her friends, family and her pup, Mija, who she and her partner adopted from Peru during their travels there.
