Nick Karikas
Kitchen Manager
Nick found his passion working outdoors and with youth which led him to work as a field instructor with Momentum in 2020. After becoming a lead staff, Nick noticed the importance that food, nutrition and self care has in our students’ lives. Nick became our kitchen manager in 2021 and since then has helped students to learn more about their nutritional needs, encouraging them to try new foods and cooking techniques to ultimately understand the connection between nurture, autonomy and cooking. Nick also enjoys engaging students in Servsafe training, leadership development and implementing therapeutic interventions in the kitchen.
In his spare time, Nick volunteers with our local fire department and enjoys taking his dog Rhodo to swim at secluded mountain lakes.
