- Our Approach
Trails Momentum is an adventure therapy program that helps young adults ages 18-25 who struggle with anxiety, depression, and direction during the transition to adulthood.
Have you lost interest in things you used to enjoy because of depression, anxiety, or low self esteem?
Do you struggle with finding motivation to set goals for yourself?
Are you having persistent problems at school, at work, or in relationships?
Do you doubt your ability to succeed?
Do you wonder if you’re being too hard on yourself?
Momentum can help overcome feelings of being stuck and overwhelmed and teach new skills to guide students along their journey into adulthood. We work with young adults who are actively interested in cultivating authentic relationships with others, solidifying their identity as individuals, continuing or revisiting their education, and seeking the skills necessary to feel confident and successful as adults.
Reboot & Rebuild
Young adulthood is a difficult transition period that leaves many people feeling exhausted and hopeless. They’ve lost motivation and hope in themselves and feel distant from their goals. We offer students the opportunity to take a break from stressors in their home environment to reflect on their goals and learn new techniques to help them manage their emotions and strengthen relationships.
Our beautiful location, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a place of hope and healing. Unlike some other wilderness therapy programs for young adults, we follow a hybrid model, where you split time between living on campus and being off-site for the wilderness and adventure activities. Here, technology and the distractions of modern life are left far behind. It is where students begin the work to find what they have been searching for.
