Video game addiction in Young Adults is at some of its highest levels right now. With millions and millions of young adults gaming at unhealthy levels there are some signs and symptoms to look for in your child. Such as, addiction negatively impacting your relationship, hurting their success in the future, affecting their daily life.
Many young adults are addicted to games like Fortnite, League of Legends, and Call of Duty.
Our program is in one of the richest adventure activity centers in the US. Our base camp, Sky Valley is just a short drive from Asheville NC, recognized by adventure magazine as one of the top destinations in the country. Sky Valley is a 800 acre mountaintop property with a trout-stocked lake, a waterfall, log cabin classrooms, student housing, a dining hall, and a myriad of trails for hiking and exploration that connect to miles of state forest. From here, we launch multi-day river and backcountry expeditions into the surrounding wilderness.

Fortnite is the latest craze in video games. It is a very popular cross-platform game that nearly 40 million gamers play each month.
This highly addictive game constantly creates updates to keep players interested and engaged. The updates can feed into a game addiction making the player hooked and wanting to see what is new.
League of Legends
League of Legends is another highly addictive game with a massive following. There are worldwide tournaments for this game as well as a large streaming audience. Additionally, this game has a large community where gamers can interact and create relationships/teams.
Call of Duty
Call of Duty is a franchise that has been around for many years. This first person shooter game allows the player to feel like they are in the game. There are many different formats that Call of Duty follows but the most popular is their online play. Call of Duty allows players to all play and interact together either by voice or text. There are online and in person tournaments for Call of Duty all year round all over the world.
